Privacy Policy
Mazeheart TD is a tower defense game. We built it to collect nothing about you. This policy explains what that means in practice. "We" means Shaun Colver, the seller of Mazeheart TD.
The short version
- No account. There is nothing to sign up for.
- No analytics and no tracking. The game contains no third-party code that collects data.
- Your progress is stored on your iPhone and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud, which we can't see.
- If you use Game Center, Apple runs it. If you buy the Season Pass, Apple handles the payment.
- We do not collect, see, sell or share your data.
What stays on your iPhone
Your progress is saved on your device: season XP and level, races unlocked, the rewards you have earned and the ones you have on, your best scores, a run you left partway, and your settings such as sound, music and haptics. None of it is sent to us.
iCloud (automatic when you're signed in)
If your iPhone is signed in to iCloud, the game also keeps a copy of your progress (XP, races, rewards earned and on, best scores and furthest waves, season wins, and whether you finished the tutorial) in your own private iCloud, so it comes back on a new iPhone or iPad signed in to the same Apple Account. Apple stores it under your Apple Account under Apple's privacy policy. We can't read it. Sound settings and a run you left partway stay on the device. To remove the copy, delete Mazeheart TD's data in your iPhone's iCloud storage settings.
Game Center (optional)
The leaderboard uses Apple's Game Center. If you sign in, your score is sent to Game Center along with your Game Center nickname and photo, as Apple shows them, and a small tag with the title and badge you have on and whether you have the Season Pass, so the leaderboard can show them next to your name. Other players can see your leaderboard entry. Apple runs Game Center under its own privacy policy. You can sign out of Game Center in your iPhone's Settings at any time. We do not receive your Apple Account details.
Purchases
The Season Pass is bought through Apple's App Store. Apple handles your payment. We never receive your name, card details or Apple Account details. Apple provides us with general sales reports, as it does for every app. Restore Purchases asks Apple which purchases your Apple Account already owns.
This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no trackers, and it loads nothing from other companies. Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and browser types, for a short time to keep the site running and secure.
Contacting us
If you email us at support@mazehearttd.com, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to reply to you, and we do not add you to any mailing list.
Deleting your data
Deleting Mazeheart TD from your iPhone deletes the progress stored on it; the copy in your iCloud stays until you delete it in your iCloud storage settings. Your Season Pass stays with your Apple Account, and Restore Purchases brings it back after you reinstall. To remove your Game Center scores, use Apple's Game Center settings. Because we hold none of your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
Children
We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, of any age, including children under 13. Game Center accounts for children are managed by their parents through Apple.
Changes to this policy
If Mazeheart TD ever adds something that collects data, such as advertising, analytics or our own online features, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy label, and tell you in the game, before it happens. Any new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
